The Centre for Studies of International Economic Relations was established as a research institute affiliated with the MUP Department of International Trade. Its objective is to develop research in the area of international economic relations in the Czech Republic. The Centre focuses on sectoral and territorial analyses of changes in international trade, analyses of changes in movement of international capital, and the analyses of processes within the global economy and its segments. The Centre devotes special attention to the economies of developing countries that are playing an increasingly important role in international and economic relations.
