Habilitation and Appointment Procedure
MUP is accredited for habilitation procedure and professorship appointment procedure in the field of International Relations. The course of habilitation procedures and professorship appointment procedures at MUP is defined by Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on the Modification and Amendment of Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), and is governed by MUP's internal regulations:

Applicants must submit their application for habilitation or professorship proceedings via the Study Information System (SIS)
Applicants must complete the relevant forms, print them, scan them, and submit them via SIS along with the application:
P1a – Requirements for the purpose of initiation of the habilitation procedure
P1b – Requirements for the purpose of initiation of the professor appointment procedure
P2a – Habilitation procedure initiation proposal
P2b – Professor appointment procedure initiation proposal
P3 – Curriculum Vitae
P4 – Documents certifying pedagogical experience
P5 – List of scholarly works
P6 – Citations and additional responses to published works
P7 – Comprehensive information on the applicant’s scholarly and pedagogical works, citations and additional responses
P8 – List of scholarly placements abroad
P9 – Additional information documenting scientific qualifications
The list of mandatory documents submitted by the applicant to initiate the the procedure is specified in the Rector's Directive: Habilitation Procedure and Professorship Appointment Procedure. The relevant forms of these documents are available in the annexes to the Code.
In the MUP List of Fees for applicants in the habilitation procedure/professorship appointment procedure, MUP has set fees for related acts, specifically a fee of CZK 1,500 for the administrative assessment of the proposal requirements, and a fee of CZK 40,000 for the habilitation procedure/professorship appointment procedure.
The habilitation procedure and professorship appointment procedure are in the final stage discussed and approved by the MUP Academic Board only at its in-person meeting held each January.
