About the library

The Jiří Hájek Specialised Library at Metropolitan University Prague develops its collections with special focus on the information needs of the study prorammes and specialisations implemented at MUP.  The library collections comprise study-related literature in all specialisations taught at Metropolitan University Prague. In addition, it offers access to professional periodicals published both in the Czech Republic and abroad, as well as access to a multitude of electronic resources. A part of the library collections comes from book donations from the Information Office of the Council of Europe in Prague and the King George of Podiebrad Foundation for European Cooperation. Publications from the collections of the King George of Podiebrad Foundation for European Cooperation comprise the private collections of Proffesor Jiří Hájek to whom the library owes its name. MUP Library services are available not only to MUP students and members of faculty, but also to members of the general public and MUP alumni. Members of the general public and MUP alumni will be required to present an official proof of identity .
