Centre for European Energy Policy and Security
The Centre for European Energy Policy and Security is a research centre focused on interdisciplinary research on the internal and external dimensions of the European Union’s energy policy and security and on identifying the main issues related to this topic. The main focus of the Centre is not only on EU energy legislation vis-à-vis member states, but also on the EU’s external energy relations with key suppliers and world regions. Last but not least, the Centre explores the important aspect of the European Union’s energy discourse on security and political issues.
Our aims
- In terms of scientific research, we want to focus the CEEPB’s activities on the acquisition and implementation of various domestic and foreign projects and grants. The CEEPB’s scientific activities will also focus on the research and development of various concepts such as external energy policy and security, energy interests, EU energy discourse, EU activism in external energy relations, etc.
- On the organizational level, we plan to organize conferences and round tables, for professional audiences as well as members of the general public interested in the issue.
- In terms of publications, the CEEPB will prioritize the successful submission of academic outputs in peer-reviewed, impact-factor domestic and foreign journals, alongside the publication of monographs in domestic and foreign publishing houses.
- On the analytical level, we want to publish short papers/analyses on an ongoing basis. The aim is to present current issues in the field of European energy policy to a wider audience.
