Internal Grant System – 2027

BASIC FEATURES OF THE MUP INTERNAL GRANT SYSTEM IN 2027

  • The call applies to proposed projects with a duration of 12 months.
  • The application deadline is 30 November 2026.
  • The maximum duration of an internal student grant is 12 months.
  • The implementation of an internal grant may commence no earlier than 1 January 2027.
  • The implementation of an internal grant must conclude by 31 December 2027.
  • Notification of a publication’s acceptance into the peer-review process is due by 30 June 2028.
  • Notification of a publication’s acceptance for publication, or the actual publication of the work, is due by 31 December 2028.
  • The maximum funding provided per internal grant is CZK 210,000; in the case of justified, higher-cost research trips or stays, the total grant amount may be increased up to a maximum of CZK 230,000.
  • The maximum scholarship amount for an individual student is CZK 15,000 per month (i.e., CZK 180,000 per year).
  • Travel expenses, material costs, and services are capped at a total of CZK 30,000; if additional funding is requested for extensive travel requirements, this limit may be increased to a maximum of CZK 50,000.
  • Each internal grant must result in at least one publication output eligible for inclusion in the RIV (Information Register of R&D Results), with a preference for outputs indexed in the Scopus or Web of Science (WoS) databases. In addition to monographs or book chapters published abroad, the internal grant system prioritizes publications in journals indexed in international databases. In cases where a grant is awarded more than once, the requirement is at least one publication in the Scopus or WoS databases, falling within quartiles Q1–Q3 (based on the *Jimp* classification or the Article Influence Score – AIS).
