The Department of Psychology offers a professionally oriented study programme whose aim is to provide students with grounding in basic and applied disciplines, key theories and methods used in psychology (relevant knowledge and skills), in accordance with the standards for first-cycle preparation for the profession of psychologist in EU countries. Cooperation with professional practice is carried out primarily through supervised, reflective professional practical training focusing on various areas of applied psychology. The Department’s scientific and research activities are primarily focused on applied research in psychology, supported by grant-funded projects and memoranda of research cooperation. The outputs of these activities are reflected in training courses, conferences, publications and professionally oriented workshops.
